A. Smith Bowman distillery in located in Fredericksburg, Virginia and is produces bourbon. It was founded 1935 by Abram Smith Bowman and his sons and was the first distillery to create small batch bourbon. This distillery is currently the only distillery that produces bourbon outside of Kentucky.The main bourbon brand is called Virginia Gentleman and over the years this brand has become so success it has been a credit to the U.S. Bourbon industry. Aberargie is a Lowland distillery which is only a few kilometers south of the border between Highlands and Lowlands. It was founded in 2017 by the Morrison family (Morrison & MacKay) who want to revive the old Whisky style of the region with the new distillery.

The Aberfeldy Distillery was founded by the Dewar's family in 1896. They ran the company under the names John Dewar & Sons, Ltd. and began Whisky production two years later.

In 1879 the distillery was built near the Lour stream by James Fleming. During his time the Aberlour distillery was the most modern distillery at the time.

Abhainn Dearg is the most Westerly of the Scottish distilleries and can be found in Uig, on the west coast of the Hebridean Isle of Lewis, the Outer Hebrides. Abhainn Dearg, (pronounced Aveen Jarræk) or Red River Distillery is a very new distillery in an ancient landscape.

The Ailsa Bay Malt Whisky Distillery was built by the William Grant & Sons company to meet their needs for Malt Whisky for their Blended Whiskies. The high-tech distillery is built on the site of the Girvan Grain Whisky Distillery.

Akkeshi Distillery launched as a new business separately from its main business. With a strong desire to make whisky like Isla malt using traditional Scottish methods, the facilities were designed by Forsyth in Scotland.Like isla whisky making, water through peat layers is used for water, and it is matured every day in “Akkeshi”, a place where cool, moist and sea breeze hits.
