Owned by Nikka Whisky, the Yoichi Distillery was the first distillery of Nikka in Hokkaido, a location selected by Nikka founder, Masataka Taketsuru, for its cool climate and natural environment - just like Scotland.
Yoichi continues to remain loyal to the whisky-making traditions dating back to its foundation, such as coal-fired pot stills.
This Yoichi - 12 Year Old, has been matured in oak casks, and is characterised by a gentle peat and a rich long-lasting palate.
