The birthplace of Japanese Whisky, Yamazaki is Suntory’s flagship single malt whisky. Founded in 1923 by Suntory’s founder Shinjiro Torii, Yamazaki Distillery is Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery. Torii selected the location for Yamazaki Distillery at the foot of Mount Tennozan for its trusty water source and natural environment inspired by the typical climate for traditional Scottish whisky making. Yamazaki put purpose into their designs, with the bottle tops echoing the shape of a pot still, a gesture to tradition and craftsmanship. Not only is there much intelligence in their design, but the whisky is highly praised worldwide due to its signature multidimensional taste.
