Description
Springbank 29 Years Old Scoma 1990, nicknamed ‘The Peat Bog’, is a peated single cask whisky from the Springbank distillery, bottled by German whisky store Scoma. It was distilled on 30 March 1990 and aged for 29 years in bourbon barrel #204, which yielded 239 bottles in October 2019. Springbank 29 Years Old Scoma 1990 has a complex and well-balanced nose with light smoke, classic industrial and vegetable oils, some dirty dunnage notes and sweetness from fruit and honey. The palate is complex with layers of honey, maritime peat and subtle oak, leading to a long and warming finish with lingering notes of sweet honey and ashy peat.
