A Secret Speyside from the Thompson Bros. Though the origins are a mystery, "Secret" Speysides often either one of two particular powerhouses of the Speyside region. A marriage of two refill sherry butts that were proofed to 47.5% ABV for a yield of 48.5% ABV. Lots of process notes initially, with hints of barley sugar and lime and other citrus fruits, alongside a soft touch of kerosene (in a pleasant way!). The palate presents pastries with citrus and orchard fruits, before developing into a chewier umami character.
