Description
This outstanding 40 year old was launched in October 2020. Part of The Red Collection, the series also includes a 50, 60, 71, 74 and 78 year old. The colour Red has huge significance for Macallan, from its founder's name, Alexander Reid, literally “The Red”, to The Macallan’s ‘Choice Old’ range released over a century ago in 1903, through to Allan Shiach marking vintage bottles of The Macallan with a red ribbon in the 1980s. The 40 year old was created by Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell.
