The Goalong brand was founded by Mr. Alan Gao, driven by his passion for whiskey and a desire to craft a spirit that reflects Chinese identity and inner freedom. Not satisfied with the lack of Chinese character in existing whiskies, he established a distillery with limited resources, producing the first bottle of Goalong Single Malt Whiskey – Laboratory The 1st – in 2016. Inspired by the iconic “Liuyang River” from his childhood, he later founded Liuyang Goalong Liquor Distillery Co., Ltd. in 2017 near the river’s source, at the foot of Dawei Mountain.

Dedicated to innovation, Goalong has developed a distinctive style through the use of thermal oil heating—an uncommon method in whiskey production—which imparts the brand's signature ""burnt toast"" flavor. Every element of Goalong Whiskey, from its flavor to its packaging, reflects a spirit of individuality and freedom.
