Since Signatory Vintage took ownership of Edradour in 2002, the distillery’s heavy spirit has, more often than not, been aged in ex-sherry casks. This release is no exception having spent its full maturation in a first-fill oloroso sherry butt. There are plenty of rich stewed fruit notes on the nose punctuated by raisins, walnuts and hints of spice.
