Description
A 19-year-old Bunnahabhain single malt, released specially for the Fèis Ile 2021, which was moved online due to COVID-19 (again, sigh…). The whisky was distilled on 8 October 2001 and finished in a Marsala cask, before being bottled on 19 January 2021 at 53.6%. Bunnahabhain is one of the nine active distilleries on Islay. It was founded in 1881 by William Robertson together with the brothers William and James Greenlees. The village of Bunnahabhain was founded at the same time to house the distillery’s workers. Bun na h-Abhainne is Gaelic for ‘foot of the river’, referring to the Margadale Spring from which the distillery sources its water. Only 1333 bottles of Bunnahabhain Feis Ile 2021 Marsala Cask Finish have been released.
