Balvenie is dedicated to making whisky in the traditional way. They are one of the only distilleries in Scotland that still grows their own barley, maintains a traditional floor malting and even keeps a coppersmith and a team of coopers on staff to maintain the stills and the barrels. Balvenie’s 25 year old single cask range was introduced in 2014 to provide whisky fans with a dram straight from the cask, and this Balvenie 25 Years Old Single Barrel Cask #179 is an expression of that commitment to fine whisky making. It was aged in refill American oak cask #179 for 25 years and bottled in 2016. Inside the bottle you’ll find rich spice and honey flavours. Only 300 bottles of this single barrel bottling have been produced so this is a rare drop indeed.
