The Diamond Distillery in Guyana, run by Demerara Distillers Ltd. (DDL), is a historic rum producer, famous as the home of El Dorado Rum and the last operating distillery in Guyana, consolidating stills from now-closed estates like Enmore (with its unique wooden Coffey still) and Uitvlugt (Versailles still). Established around 1670, it preserves unique wooden stills, producing distinctive Demerara rums from local sugar cane.
